how we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We share data only as follows:
Retirement property developers: when you submit an enquiry about a specific property, your name, email, phone and message are passed to that developer so they can respond. Each developer is a separate data controller for that enquiry.
Email service provider (Mailchimp):
processes email addresses for newsletter and property alert delivery. Data is processed under a data processing agreement. Mailchimp may transfer data to the US under appropriate Standard Contractual Clauses.
Analytics provider (Google Analytics):
receives anonymised usage data, only if you have consented to analytics cookies. Configured with IP anonymisation.
Hosting and infrastructure: our web host and cloud services process data as data processors under our instruction.
Legal and regulatory:
We may disclose data to the ICO, law enforcement or courts if required by law.All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements ensuring they process data only on our instructions and maintain appropriate security measures.
Children's data
Retirement Housing UK is directed at adults aged 55 and over, and their families. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us at info@retirementhousing.uk and we will delete it promptly.
International data transfers
We primarily process data within the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). Where data is transferred outside the UK (for example, to Mailchimp servers in the US), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the ICO, or reliance on the UK–US Data Bridge where applicable.
